cold feet in a hot shower.

I don't quite know what to talk about, but I felt it was time to just.. talk.

Let's see..
Ah!
A few stories that I never got to tell anyone.
Now is a good a time as ever.

This here should tell you the kind of person I am.
Ok, so I was choking on something a few weeks ago.
And my first reaction was to start laughing about it.
So, I'm sitting there unable to breath, but laughing hysterically.
I wonder what the other people in the area thought about me.
Heh.

But here's the story I really wanted to tell.
So I took my mum to the hospital for some.. thing.. I don't even remember what.
I was going to stay in the car and wait, but I had the impression it'd be awhile, and I'd left my phone at home. So I went inside to wait.
There was this woman there..
She didn't look in too good of shape.
But she came up to me and said, "Dang, I love your shirt!"
Naturally it featured Donkey Kong..
We talked about trivial things for awhile, but after sometime I said, "So what're yuh in for? ;)"
And she told me this amazing story about here illness.
Supposedly she wasn't able to take any nutrients from any of the food she ate.
Most of the story is a blur...
But what has always stood out in my mind was the last five minutes.
"I'm going to die" she said.
I tried my best to convince her that she would be able to find some help, though I didn't believe it myself. Just moments before I had to go she told me, "You know what? You're a good person..."
I smiled, and she said "Don't ever lose your smile either."
My mom came out and went to the car, I gestured that I'd be there in a moment.
I said my goodbyes, once again trying to reassure her that there was hope.
But as we both knew, there wasn't any more hope than there was 5 minutes ago.
"No matter where I end up, I'm always going to remember you and this talk" she said with a smile. As the doors closed behind me she said again, "I will always remember you."
I never knew her name.
Nor will I ever.
But that will stay with me forever.
Assuming she's passed on.. May she rest peacefully.
